July 24--HARTFORD -- State employee unions and bargaining units are determining how to proceed with approving or rejecting a newly clarified labor savings and concessions agreement reached with Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's administration.
The State Employees Bargaining Agent Coalition, which represents 15 unions, said Saturday the details of the ratification process aren't set, including the voting schedule. As soon as that's known, about 45,000 unionized workers will be notified of the voting process, dates and polling locations.
SEBAC announced a tentative agreement with Malloy late Friday night. It clarifies proposed changes to workers' health and retirement benefits, as well as a three-year wage freeze. The agreement is essentially the same deal that was defeated last …
