July 15--When a team wins as many championships as Boyertown has over the years, it learns to expect positive outcomes. The names inevitably change; the results often don't. "It's determination," Boyertown's Ryan Pinter said after the Bears earned their 31st Berks Legion League title in dramatic fashion Tuesday night. "We play as a team." A second-year player for the Bears, Pinter didn't win a league championship in his first year. But wearing that Boyertown uniform means he and his teammates expect a lot from themselves -- even when they're in precarious situations like the ones they faced in the Berks playoffs.
