July 12--A "tombstone view" is rarely a real estate selling point.

But some Haddonfield homeowners are fighting to preserve their vista of a pretty little burial ground on Kings Highway. "People are quite enamored of it," says Diane Gautier, whose backyard on the north side of Lee Avenue overlooks the Haddonfield Methodist Cemetery.

"It's beautiful," says her neighbor Joan Ziegler. From within the cemetery, however, some mourners -- and also, if you will, prospective residents -- find the rear view of Lee Avenue less than scenic. There have been complaints about unkempt backyards, of garbage being tossed over the fence, and of noisy and/or nosy …
