BRIEF: SeaWolves' Martinez to participate in Eastern League Home Run Derby.
July 08--Erie SeaWolves third baseman Francisco Martinez has been selected to take part in the Eastern League Home Run Derby on Wednesday at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, N.H. The derby is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. with the finals to take place during the middle of the second inning of the Eastern League All-Star Game. Martinez leads the SeaWolves with seven home runs and is second on the team with 40 RBIs. He is rated as the fourth-best prospect in the Tigers organization, according to Baseball America.
