from ANTARA, The Indonesian National News Agency Jakarta, June 30 (ANTARA) - Jakarta police have been told to be ready with their weapons following indications of potential terror attacks on members of the force.

"Police force members have been given an instruction. As of now they must have their weapons at the ready for self-defense," Jakarta Police Chief Inspector General Sutarman said here on Thursday.

He said the Jakarta police force's rank and file had been told to increase their alertness and readiness against possible terror attacks on them.

He said police members had so far kept their weapons in the cupboard chained. …
