July 01--The Olivet Boys & Girls Club, which has been expanding its presence in Reading, will take over the city's summer recreation program at the 11th & Pike Recreation Center. The program, featuring the city's traditional activities that include box hockey and roof ball, will begin Wednesday and run from noon to 5 p.m. weekdays through mid-August, said Frank Denbowski, Mayor Tom McMahon's chief of staff. Supervised programs will be offered both inside and outside the recreation center so the program can operate rain or shine, he said. Both the gym and the game room also will be open.
