Manga takes front seat during holidays.

from THE JAKARTA POST -- THURSDAY, JUNE 30, 2011 For bookstores, school holidays mean an increase in the number of visitors and sales of children's books, particularly the most popular of them all -- Japanese manga comics.

"Of course, we have more customers during the holidays," said Muhammad Zaim, a staffer at Gramedia bookstore in Taman Anggrek Mall, West Jakarta, recently.

"Manga comics are definitely a favorite. Our biggest turnover comes from comics, followed by novels," he told The Jakarta Post.
