Nicosia, 29 June: The president of the House of Representatives, Yiannakis Omirou on Wednesday [29 June] met with South African Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Ismail Ebrahim, whom he briefed on the latest developments in the Cyprus issue, expressing his disappointment for the absence of significant progress towards a political settlement, due to Turkey's stance.

According to an official statement issued after the meeting, Omirou referred to the efforts of the Greek Cypriot side for a just and viable solution, in accordance with UN resolutions, the high-level agreements between the island's two communities …
