June 29--ST. CHARLES COUNTY -- A new $100-million plan to finish the Page Avenue extension project was endorsed Wednesday by a regional board. St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann, who helped put together the proposal, said he's optimistic that the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will approve the deal. The staff of the Missouri Department of Transportation has said it will recommend approval, Ehlmann said. Wednesday's endorsement came from the board of the East-West Gateway Council of Governments.
