June 29--Slack winds and unrelenting sunshine should combine to create unhealthy air Thursday, local officials say. The Health Department has issued a "Code Orange" alert for Shelby, Crittenden and DeSoto counties, where ozone pollution is expected to reach levels considered dangerous for small children, the elderly, people with existing breathing problems and outdoor laborers.
