It might look like a large door stop but fitness instructor Pete Luffman reckons the kettlebell could be the Holy Grail of fitness. Suzanne Savill reports It could never be described as the most impressive-looking piece of fitness equipment.

A solid lump of cast iron that resembles a cannonball with a handle, the kettlebell looks rather dull compared to familiar workout accessories such as stability balls, rowing machines, and cross trainers.

But what is impressive, according to Pete Luffman, are the results that a kettlebell can produce.
