June 29--The Indiana General Assembly spent a great deal of time on hot-button issues in the latest session: a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman, which duplicates existing Indiana law; an anti-immigration bill, which has already been found unconstitutional in part by a federal court; a law defunding Planned Parenthood, which is being blocked by federal injunction; and a school voucher bill, which arguably violates Indiana's constitutional prohibition on using funds for religious purposes.
