Utoda Contract Expired Last Year - Lukwago.

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has said Uganda Taxi Owners and Drivers Association (Utoda) contract expired last year and will soon be subjected to a fresh bidding process.

Addressing public transport stake holders at City Hall on Thursday, Mr Lukwago said Utoda contract expired last October and has no running contract with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) as alleged.

"Utoda's contract expired. There was only a proposal to extend it which was put on hold. So if Utoda is to have the contract renewed, proper procedures will have to be followed," Mr Lukwago said.
