Difference of opinion prompts Mehlville fire chief's departure.

June 25--MEHLVILLE -- Friction between Mehlville Fire Chief Tim White and the fire district's board of directors led to his resignation earlier this week. But the two parties have declined to specify what they clashed over, and board chairman Aaron Hilmer continues to describe the parting of ways as "very amicable." White has not responded to several phone calls for comment. "We kind of came to the conclusion that we didn't agree on the direction we wanted to take the district," Hilmer said on Saturday.
