Ogden School District forms plan to cope with shortfall.

June 23--OGDEN -- Ogden School District has approved a budget for the 2011-12 school year that is designed to maintain current student service levels while dealing with a $2.3 million shortfall resulting from decreased funding by the Utah Legislature. The needed funds to make up the shortfall will come from a $200,000 cut to the capital budget; a $400,000 reduction to expenditures; and a withdrawal from the district's "rainy day fund," said Eugene N. Hart, district business administrator.
