Activists Save 55 Girls From Abortion.

At least 55 girls and women from various parts of Eastern and Northern Uganda have been rescued from abortion in the past five months.

The Country Director Human Life International, Father Jonathan Opio, told the Board of Directors in Tororo on June 13, that the rescue was mainly in Tororo, Soroti, Budaka, Arua, Manafwa, Mbale and Kampala.

Fr Opio also said that at least 20 of the girls and women rescued had given birth. "It is interesting to see babies who were almost terminated, looking healthy," he said. He added that all the children who were born will be baptised during celebrations to mark one year of existence of Human …
