Markovich leads West All-Stars over East All-Stars in softball.

June 20--Many area seniors made the most of their final opportunity to perform as high school athletes Sunday during the East-West All-Star Softball Game at Penn State Behrend. The West All-Stars walked away with a 13-7 victory behind a strong effort from Northwestern standout Callie Markovich. Markovich, who played first base, went 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored and three RBIs. "Callie has been a tremendous player at Northwestern and she continued that today." said West coach Al Bricker, who also coached Markovich at Northwestern. "She just continues to do what she does well, and that is hit the ball."
