Cardigan John Adey 01239 613479 jp.adey@xln.co.uk Traffic reduction Residents living in areas of the town including Feidrfair, North Road and Napier Street have reported a large reduction in the amount of traffic since re-opening of the Tesco junction on the bypass. The junction was closed eight years ago after a number of fatal accidents at the site.

Lottery grant The Cardiganbased group Dyslecsia Cymru has been awarded a grant of GBP4,250 under the latest Big Lottery Fund Awards. The money is to be used to run two events to raise awareness about dyslexia on the organisation's 10th anniversary.

Forces Day To mark the National Armed Forces Day a special service is to be held at St Mary's Church on Friday, June 24. The Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff of Dyfed as well as senior military and civic representatives and members of the local branches of Rafa and the Royal British Legion will be in attendance.

New business A new mobile computer service based in Cardigan has been set up by computer technician Russ Hasler. After the 28-year-old from Golwg y Castell lost his job when the Red Hot Computer Group folded two years ago he continued improving his knowledge and attended a number of courses. He has now set up his own business PC Doctor Trust Computing. Weed problem A call has gone out for volunteers to help eradicate a Himalayan balsam plant which has taken hold in the Poppit area. St Dogmaels Community Association is hoping volunteers will join them in pulling the plant this Saturday and on July 3. Also the Pembrokeshire Cost National Park is helping out by organising a weeding day on Thursday, June 30.

Whist drive at 7.30pm on Monday in Brechfa Church Hall.
