Mitooma District chairman Benon Kalyeija and chief administrative officer Alice Rushure on Tuesday disagreed over a proposal to force all civil servants working at the district headquarters to find accommodation nearby.

Currently, only lower cadre employees reside in the town council where the district offices are located while the sector heads and other high ranking officers, including the CAO, reside 15 kilometres away in Ishaka, Bushenyi, and beyond. Mitooma was carved out of Bushenyi last year.
