Government to Stop Monopolies in Dairy Sector.

The ministry of agriculture has embarked on aligning the dairy sector with the agricultural sector development strategy and investment plan to fit into the country's national development plan.
The move is aimed at developing the sector which is so far ranked the 4th strategic enterprise in the sector and number one in livestock enterprises. Under the new arrangement, government intends to mechanise the production methods of the dairy farmers as well as re-introduce cooperative dairy farming.
