Insurers Want Motor Third Party Compensation Fees Increased.

Insurance players have asked the Uganda Insurance Commission to increase the motor third party compensation fees from the current Shs1 million to an amount that is commensurate to other countries in the region.

Speaking during a meeting between the commission and the Uganda Insurers Association, Mr Mathew Koech, the Association chairman noted that the fees should be harmonised to be commensurate to those of other countries within the region.

Kenya for instance has a limit of about Shs2.65 million. …
