Progress report on GPS/JIPS at JCIA.(RESPONSIBLE CARE)(Japan Chemical Industry Association)(Japan Initiative of Product Stewardship)(Global Product Strategy)

In Japan, Japan Chemical Industry Association (JCIA, Chairman Kenji Fujiyoshi) has implemented Japan Initiative of Product Stewardship (JIPS) to achieve the goals of ICCA GPS.

With GPS/JIPS, the JCIA member companies voluntarily conduct risk assessments for chemicals in commerce while observing the existing national regulatory requirements. By carrying out the program, the participating companies will become more transparent on their products by providing free access to information on the chemicals in a suitable format which would increase the public confidence in chemical products.
