The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and United States Navy (USN) are conducting another joint exercise in the Java Sea aimed at forging military cooperation between the two nations, particularly the two navies, a spokesman said.

The joint exercise themed "Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training" (CARAT) was divided into two phases, namely ground and maritime activities, Head of the Navy Information Service Commodore Tri Prasodjo said in Jakarta on 27 May 2011.
