KUALA TERENGGANU: A 19-year-old girl pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour charge of calling a policeman stupid at the magistrate's court here yesterday.

Nur Shafa Watiha Wahab, from Kampung Telaga Daing, Seberang Takir, was charged under section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for allegedly insulting the policeman after he pulled her over for not wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle.

Prosecution was carried out by Inspector Zainuddin Abdul Ghani in the presence of Kuala Terengganu Sessions Court registrar, Rusila Chik, who acted on behalf of the magistrate.
