Two constables jailed, fined for bribery.

KUALA LUMPUR: Two policemen were sentenced to two years' jail and fined RM10,000 each for accepting a RM350 bribe from an Indonesian man as an inducement not to take action against his friend who did not have valid travel documents.

Constables Mohd Ridzuan Zulkifli, 31, and Md Azale Md Yusof, 29, from the city police headquarters, were jointly charged with accepting the bribe in Jalan Delima, off Jalan Imbi, at 5pm on April 28, 2007.

Judge Rosbiahanin Arifin ordered the two to serve an additional six months in jail if they were unable to pay the fine. …
