THE Education Ministry's proposal to have weekend classes and tuition for students who have difficulty with the English language is not a solution but may, to an extent, help in overcoming the problem.

Nothing is better than having full-time classes with qualified English teachers.

We have many retired teachers who can assist. Let them do "national duty".
