DPM: Govt will bear hospital, burial costs.

KAJANG: The Federal Government will take care of the hospitalisation and burial fees of victims of the landslide here yesterday, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who visited the site last night.

Each victim will also receive RM10,000.

Muhyiddin, who conveyed his sympathies to the victims and their families, said Kasih, a Selangor-based non-governmental organisation, was expected to donate RM30,000.

He said the orphanage had been operating at the site for 11 years and the management's intentions were noble in caring for the orphans.
