AMERICAN football Super Bowl winner Jeremy Shockey opted for close-season training with a difference as he led a United States team in the 2011 Drambuie Pursuit in Inverness.

The 30-year-old man mountain tight end, who scored a touchdown for New Orleans Saints in their Super Bowl XLIV win against Indianapolis Colts in 2010, led his team in the annual outdoor adventure race across the Scottish Highlands.

Shockey, all 6ft 5in and more than 18st of him and his team came in fourth place with the winning team coming from Holland.
