A long-running Highland accountancy firm has gone into liquidation in the midst of a court battle with the Royal Bank of Scotland over debts of GBP795,000.

Graeme M Fraser and Co, which employs 14 staff and has offices in Dingwall, Elgin and Nairn, went into liquidation on May 5 after director Graeme Fraser and his son and business partner Cathel Fraser were made bankrupt.

A spokesman for liquidators RSM Tenon said the liquidation was caused by cash-flow problems and the business, which employs 14, is being managed on a care-and-maintenance basis while it is being marketed for sale.
