The Moscow City Duma deputies yesterday [11 May] looked into the legal position of the mass media during election campaigns. The capital's legislators supported the United Russia faction's initiative on amending the Federal Law on the Media. The proposal concerns the electronic mass media - radio and television companies. Moscow City Duma thinks it is time to put an end to the practice of uncontrolled "live broadcasts." And to oblige the editors to record everything that happens in the studios and is broadcast.
