The battle for the ownership of the ruling National Democratic Congress is heading for a fever pitch as party faithfuls who thronged the party's campaign office at Kuku Hill, Osu yesterday to show their solidarity with President Mills in his 2012 presidential bid have been reminded that the party belongs to them and not any individual or family.

In apparent defiance of the party founder, former President John Jerry Rawlings, the thousands of supporters who gathered at the mammoth rally were told that it was the efforts of several individuals that the party came into existence and continues to exist. They were also asked not to regard the party as belonging to any individual or family. …
