from ANTARA, The Indonesian National News Agency Jakarta, April 28 (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Amidan said the council would not issue an edict (fatwa) declaring as illegal radicalism in Indonesia such as allegedly done by the Indonesia Islamic State (NII) movement.

"MUI will not issue a haram (baned by religion) fatwa for the NII movement," Amidan said during a discussion on religious radicalism here on Thursday.
