Section: Business News - The month of October proved to be another month of noteworthy achievements for the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Records of the Bureau's collection offices show that the revenue service was able to generate P63.564 Billion in tax payments for October 2010, marking an increase of P8.644 Billion-or 15.74%-over revenues for the same month in 2009.
More importantly, the October collection performance marks the second month in a row that the Bureau was able to exceed its monthly revenue target, surpassing the October 2010 collection goal by at least P1.012 Billion, or 1.62%.
