Internal conflict tourism industry 'in disarray'.

Tourism associations have split into at least two groups after one camp lost power in a reshuffle at one of the key bodies, the Association of Thai Travel Agents, plunging the entire industry into disarray.

One side is led by the ATTA, which last month welcomed a new president, Sidivachr Cheewarattanaporn.

The other is claimed by ex-ATTA president Apichart Sankary, who is also suspected to be in hiding because of the conflict.

The issue was raised online this week by info@travelnews.com.
