Govt unveils new autonomy design.
from THE JAKARTA POST -- THURSDAY, APRIL 21, 2011 -- PAGE 1 More than a decade after the implementation of regional autonomy, the government unveiled on Wednesday a blueprint for the creation of new autonomous regions over the next 15 years.
The blueprint, called the 2010-2025 Grand Design for the Structuring of Regions (Desartada), outlines the procedures for the creation, abolition and merger of regional administrations, and provides an estimate of the number of new provinces and regencies that will be created by 2025.
