A former lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Dr Keftin Amuga, has advocated the use of the electronic voting system in subsequent elections.
Amuga made the call on Thursday in Kalmai, Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State.
"I am strongly suggesting that the electronic voting approach, which Nigerians kicked against in the past, be given a trial in subsequent elections.
"My thinking and calculation is that the system might clear some of the remaining problems, especially with regard to rigging."
