Russian finance minister asks to be removed from state company boards.

Moscow, 19 April: Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aleksey Kudrin has asked to be removed from the list of candidates for the supervisory board of VTB [Vneshtorgbank, Foreign Trade Bank], and is withdrawing from the supervisory council of the AK [joint-stock company] Alrosa, says a Finance Ministry press release.

Kudrin currently heads both companies' supervisory boards.

Kudrin has sent a letter to this effect to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, thus complying with the instructions of President Dmitriy Medvedev that …
