P-NOY EXPRESSED displeasure on the use of his smiling mug shot on immigration arrival forms. Thats why the forms were changed, for the better. P-Noy said he doesnt want his face on billboards, tarpaulins or other media that advertise government projects. So far, so good. However, P-Noy will cringe at finding his face on an outdoor ad announcing the free circumcision project of a publicity-driven female Manila councilor. Should a notice about free-circumcision require the faces of the councilor, the mayor of Manila and the President? Why not keep the project, funded with government money, free from personalities?

Tarpaulins and billboards may very well be the curse of present-day Metro Manila, but in the future these will be sources for historical studies because they reflect the wants and …
