Philippines: DENR chief seeks consolidated 3D mapping of Philippines.

Section: General News - Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Ramon Paje is proposing consolidation of agencies' respective mapping activities and funds for these so government can generate a three-dimensional (3D) map of the Philippines for use by both public and private sectors.

He noted consolidation will help minimize duplication of government mapping activities and maximize use of available public funds for the purpose.

"We'll be able to also generate more information at less cost," he said Wednesday on the side of the Communication and News Exchange Forum that Philippine Information Agency organized with Presidential Communications …
