Controversy hit the re-construction of Kasubi Tombs on Monday when a section of Buganda royals ordered the prime minister (Katikkiro) and Mengo to leave the construction of the tombs to the royal family. The royals from different Kabaka lineages of Chwa, Kiweewa, and Muteesa, among others, during a special meeting at Kasubi tombs said the tombs belong to the royal family because all their ancestors have been buried there but the Katikkiro has not involved them in the re-construction exercise.
