[Xinhua: "Couple Accused in Milk Poisoning Case in Northwest China"]

PINGLIANG, Gansu, April 11 (Xinhua) - A local couple was accused in a milk poisoning case that left three children dead and 36 others sickened in northwest China's Gansu Province, authorities said Monday.

The government of Pingliang City, where the incident occurred last week, held a press conference Monday afternoon at which it partially revealed the identities of the two suspects.

Thirty-nine people in Pingliang were sent to the hospital after drinking nitrite-tainted milk on Thursday. …
