The Rwanda Utility and Regulatory Agency (RURA) the country's telecom regulator has revoked the Libyan-owned Rwandatel's mobile licence for failure to meet investment obligations.

Mr Regis Gatarayiha the acting director general of RURA said that a regulatory meeting held on April 1 resolved to cancel the company's licence with immediate effect.
