From today millions of Brits get their prescriptions free , but. .
PATIENTS in England are now the only Brits forced to pay for their prescriptions.
Scotland yesterday joined Wales and Northern Ireland in scrapping the charges, leaving the English to pick up the bill.
And furious patients will now be charged GBP7.40 for their drugs, an increase of 20p, as they pay for other parts of the UK to get their drugs free.
Doctors and charities say the charges in England could cost lives as poorer people are put off paying the high price.
