UiTM'S SUCCESS IN RESEARCH SIGNIFICANT, SAYS NAJIB.
from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency SHAH ALAM, March 31 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Universiti Teknologi Mara's (UiTM) success in research was significant and a source of pride although the institution gained university status only 11 years ago.
He said UiTM received RM21 million under the "Fundamental Research Grant Scheme" from the Higher Education Ministry last year, the biggest amount among local universities.
Najib was speaking at the launching of the Business Start-Up Fund of the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) for developing technopreneurs at the UiTM campus, here, today.
