Consolidation in Bushveld platinum mining expected ALLAN SECCOMBE Resources Editor WESIZWE Platinum considers itself a player in the consolidation game now that it has secured funds from a powerful Chinese consortium that will own 45% of the company.

Wesizwe's Frischgewaagd-Ledig project is adjacent to Royal Bafokeng's new Styldrift project and Toronto-listed Platinum Group Metal's (PTM's) undeveloped, shallow project.

It has long been punted by former Wesizwe CEO Mike Solomon that there be consolidation among these projects to bring down the costs of developing mines on each of the properties.
