COTABATO CITYA United Nations team is now validating reports of improvements in the use of foreign aid by the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao despite the regions reputation as a graft-ridden beneficiary of billions of pesos of government funds.

Ambassador Jorge Eduardo Chen Charpentier, of the World Food Program, said he and nine other executives from the United Nations Children Fund (Unicef), United Nations Development Programme and other UN agencies are in town to validate reports that UN-funded projects in ARMM were having positive impacts on peoples lives.
