THE International Automobile Federation (FIA) is disappointed that the Lotus name dispute has been dragged into the London High Court but admitted it is in no position to intervene.

Datuk Seri Jean Todt, the FIA president, has advised the two rivals, Group Lotus Plc and 1Malaysia Racing (UK) Ltd, to come to an amicable settlement.

The Frenchman, married to actress Datuk Michelle Yeoh, was speaking in Kuala Lumpur yesterday during the FIA Conference Week which was attended by delegates from around the world.
