A book telling the story of last year's controversial Scottish Housing Expo in Inverness has been launched.

The architectural showcase in August last year saw 52 environmentally-friendly houses built at Balvonie Braes.

The month-long event attracted more than 33,000 visitors -- more than predicted -- and generated more than GBP6million for the local economy during construction and created 240 full-time equivalent jobs.

The Scottish Government commissioned Architecture and Design Scotland to produce the book, which charts the history of the expo from conception to completion.
