The President says ongoing Middle East instability, skyrocketing oil prices and Japan's disasters have set the stage for turbulent times for the world's people, though the prospects for peace are good.

Recent dynamics in geopolitics, according to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, have strained efforts to keep peace internationally as the global economy is still struggling to recover from the financial crisis.
