Oscar luck runs in hot streaks for some, in dribbles for others--and not at all for Roger Deakins.

Makeup artist Rick Baker continued his Oscar dominance Sunday night with a seventh Academy Award in 12 tries, while Randy Newman picked up his second Oscar in 20 nominations.

But Deakins, the cinematographer nominated for "True Grit," has now gone 0-fornine.

Baker shared the Oscar with Dave Elsey for "The Wolfman," which topped "Barney's Version" and "The Way Back" The 61-year-old thanked "Wolfman" star Benicio Del Toro, who was transformed via clumps of yak hair into the character.
